Gerber's newest bad boy, the LMF II ( Lightweight Multi-Function) Survival Knife in Desert Coyote Tan color. Engineered by former military combat veteran Jeff Freeman to pick up where other knives leave off.
The blade is manufactured from 12C27 Stainless Steel and features a partially serrated drop point blade honed to a razor edge and double coated with a non-glare finish for extreme durability. The over-molded glass filled TPV handle provides a positive grip and limits blistering. There is complete separation between the tang and butt-cap, so the knife absorbs the shocks from hammering and prevents the transfer of electricity to the user. Grooves and lashing holes let the LMF II easily convert to a spear. The low-profile modular sheath attaches to a belt, thigh, calf or MOLLE vest. The removable thigh and calf straps are partially elastic and have 3 strips of rubber woven into the webbing to keep the knife exactly where you strap it, no riding up or side to side, even at a full speed run! Attention to detail makes this one a winner.
Includes the ASEK (Aircrew Survival and Egress Knife) with carry case. The knife is fiber reinforced polymer and has 2 razor sharp blades for cutting seatbelts, parachute straps or any other tough webbing material. |
